Nanean~ somehow I missed your comment to me a couple of days ago. You asked how to keep your puppy from jumping up on people. I found the best way for me was to make sure Charlie or Beau where right by me with only about 3 ft of leash - that way you have more control. Stay back from people at least 4 feet and wait until Sandy is calm - preferably sitting. If you stop and talk to the people and not make the visit about Sandy, he will eventually either sit or lay down. Then you can allow someone to pet him. Otherwise, if he gets attention from jumping up, then he will continue to do that. You should join the group Puppy madness and also the training group. As soon as Sandy has had his shots, take him to a beginning obedience class - it will be good for him and very good for you! Good luck.
Hi Nanean ~ Would love to see a photo of Sandy. Is a labradoodle or gd? When you get a chance be sure to check out the groups section and join as many as you like. Welcome to Doodle Kisses!
