My husband and I moved to Richmond in April 2007 and brought Brody home the following month. We had our second child (well, our first human child) a year later, named Ava. Brody was a little jealous at first but now he kisses her constantly!

Hello GRAD member,
We have a new and exciting event coming July 26th, from 1-4 to celebrate our recent jump to 100 members!
We will be having a BBQ/Picnic and a lake for the doodles to go swimming at The Dude Ranch in Glen Allen. Please check out the discussion on the group page entitled "Party Time" and respond there if you plan to attend so I can get a doodle head count for the facility.
Thanks and hope to see you there!

That is great news about Brody! I hope all of his blood tests come back with great results. I know it normally takes a while to get the dosage right, but he seems to be doing great. Did your vet start you out with a highter dose of Pheno or start lower? I just talked to the vet and she actually suggested KBr so we are going to go ahead and get her started on that. If she didn't suggest it, I certainly was going in that direction.
I'd love to get together soon. Let me know. We are going on vacation in 2 weeks, but after that we should be open.
I can't believe it has been so long since we talked. I hope all is well. I hope your trip was wonderful. I wanted to see how Brody has been doing. Katie has been having seizures again. We have changed her medication a few times, but she just had another one. I think I am going to talk to the vet about putting her on KBr also. I just wondered if things have continued to go well with Brody. I sure hope you guys haven't been going through what we have been going through. It stinks.
Hello again GRAD member! Just sending out a reminder that our next gathering will be at the Easter Parade on Monument Ave. We will be meeting at Jaime's house at 1 pm. Check out the discussion on the group page for more details and hope to see you there!
Hey Nicole! How are things going with Brody? I wanted to let you know we got the results of Katie's blood test and everything looks great. She is on the right dosage. If she does have a break through seizure, we do have room to up her dosage without causing toxicity. I hope Brody has continued to do well. Are you still hoping to have a small romp at your house? Please let me know. Is Brody turning 2? Katie was born almost a month after Brody. I think Brody must have been at Valerie's when we came to see the puppies the first time. She had three litters are that time, so I'm sure Mr. Brody was among them. Hope all is well. Talk to you soon!
Hey Nicole, It is great to hear from you. I am so happy to hear the good news about Brody. Katie has been seizure free since she went on the meds. She has her first blood test on 2/12. She has been doing very well. She does sleep a little more, but overall she is pretty energetic. We still walk her twice a day and she does well with that also. I'm just praying that the medication levels are right. I'll certainly let you know once I find out.
I hate I'm unable to attend the Carytown Walk. It sounds fun. I'm going to SC to see my Mom that weekend. She had surgery a few weeks ago and I haven't been able to go home since then. I would love to get Brody and Katie together. The mini doodle romp sounds awesome. March would be great. Let me know. Talk to you soon!
Hey there GRAD member,
Just wanted to drop a line and let you know there is a discussion I’d like you to check out on the GRAD page if you haven’t already seen it. It’s on the topic of “Birth Homes” and you may just find a sibling or two of your doodle on there. All you need to do is put your doodles birth info in the discussion.
Also don’t forget about our doodle walk coming up on Feb. 7th in Carytown at 2pm!!
Hey Nicole! Great news about Brody! YEAH!! Yeah, getting him to lose weigh is going to be a toughie. Are you feeding him more? It is tough, Katie wants more food, but I've tried really hard not to feed her more. It is tough though. Katie hasn't had another seizure either. Yeah again!! :-)
I will let you know about Valerie. Why the medical records? That is interesting.
Give Brody a kiss from me and Katie. I'm so happy to hear the good news!
