Hey Seuss - I know you're super busy with your sweet baby, Paige, and work and hubby and the boys, but we need PICTURES of Bogey. His fans are waiting. Love ya!

Ah, the dishwasher. Dogs love it when it's dirty (yummy!) and are mystified when it's clean (not yummy.) We had the same thing happen with Fudgie, our brown standard poodle when I was young. He would routinely lick the silverware (so all knives always had to point downward in our house) and get any molecules left on the plates after my mother essentially scrubbed them, begging the question "why bother with a dishwasher, anyway?" So one time he got his collar stuck on the bottom rack and all hell broke loose, just like with Bogey. That poor dog was so shocked and so frightened. I imagine he was wondering why such a benign element as the dishwasher just up and attacked him one day!

Welcome Susie and Bogey. My parents named one of our Boxers Bogie when I was a kid. Do you play golf? It is a great name. Hope you enjoy all that Doodle Kisses has to offer. It is nice to have you here.

I forgot to answer your question: Yes, Mazie loves the snow! She romps around and prances like a reindeer, actually. It's hilarious to watch. Also, since ice cubes are a favorite treat of hers, her first encounter with snow was a total riot. She was overwhelmed with joy when she realized that snow, especially the stuff that hardens after you shovel, is like a zillion ice cubes just waiting for her to chomp on and play with. I'm intrigued by your mention of a product you spray on Bogey's paws. What's it called? Mazie turnes into a snow monster, complete with ice balls hanging off her fur, and has to be thawed out, like Bogey! He is a very handsome boy, by the way!

Hey, Seuss! So glad you joined up! This is a fantastic site, full of people who love their Doodles as much as we do! Adina, the creator of DoodleKisses is a genius and very cool. I feel like I know her! I was sorry to hear about your Dad, but not surprised to learn that Bogey was right there for you. Mazie is intuitive like that as well. I had surgery in February and she was so sweet and gentle with me when I came home from the hospital. She "protected" me from harm by staying right by my side throughout my recuperation and never jumped up or got hyper or tried to get on my lap (which she would normally be all about.) Lots of people came to visit and she was unusually well-behaved. Of course once I was well, she was back to her old crazy self! Glad you're here!
What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!
A wonderful, handsome and incredibly smart (but a little stubborn) goldendoodle. He turned 5 years old this October and is the most loyal, sweet, fun-loving dog I have ever had. He has a fantastic, playful personality and with minimal training is generally very well behaved. Very little shedding (just his tail).
Where did you get your doodle(s)?
Breeder
Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?
non-shedding and adorable! I am allergic to dogs, but deperately wanted one. I found some sites on goldendoodles on the internet about 6 years ago and decided to go for it. One of the best decisions I ever made.
What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?
Romp in the snow, go to the dog park (while Bogey loves people he is definitely a dog's dog), play fetch and snuggle
Does your doodle(s) shed?
Nope!
Who grooms your doodle(s)?
Happy Tails
Favorite Doodle Products?
Any stuffed animal toys and that stuff that you can spray on their paws in the winter to keep ice balls from forming (I forget what it is called).
