That's good, I just wanted to make sure it was still in progress and not completed and somehow not working. Fingers crossed it all goes smoothly!

I also didn't think that there would be a pause between the data migration and the URL update so this is frustrating to me too :-(

Yes. I turned as much off as I could because anything new will get lost in cyberspace. I'm waiting for the tech folks to put make the new site have the same URL. Until then I'm not opening it up.
