Every time I tried to approach her to see what she had in her mouth, she would run & this pup is tough to catch when off leash. I finally got my camera and discovered what she had in her mouth :)

:)  Cedar uses her feet a lot too .. like a boxer in that respect.  There was no way I was going to get this away from her.  She would snatch it up and take off as soon as I started for her.

Luna would TOTALLY do this... except she would probably try to "stomp" it with her front paws when it was trying to get away.

She really does have a soft mouth and has every soft toy that I've got her from 8 weeks on.  She always takes off with her "prizes" when she gets them & there's no way I can catch her.  She carried a rabbit she caught in her mouth for 4 miles or more and it was alive for all of it.  She finally dropped it and it hopped into the woods.

Wow...I can't believe she could be that gentle, although I'm thinking that mouse may have eventually had a heart attack.

Too funny. I once had a Brittany that carried a baby cardinal around the yard for several minutes until she deposited it in my hands.

ewwwwwwwwwwww!!!  I would die!  I wonder if she is thinking "friend" or "food"!

Just what I was afraid of : ) I saw the tail hanging out and it reminded me of a wilderness movie in which the character had mice in a sandwich with tails hanging out --ugh. Amazing how gentle these dogs can be. Mine have carried a fledgling turkey and baby rabbit with no harm done. Some of the outcomes are not so good, though. Loved the video
