Yeah Sammi!  I think discovering the stairs was important.  The first thing my dog (Harpo) did in his canine swimming lesson in a pool was to learn to get in and out of the pool using the stairs.  After that, he was in and out at will.  BTW, he was going nuts watching this video.  As soon as he heard the splash and your encouraging words he was here to watch the monitor.  He loves videos on the computer and also loves animal action on the TV.  Funny.  Groucho could care less about the TV and computer.
