Ocean Grove Doodle Romp

Hi All - Kate and Maci here.  Just wanted to let everyone one I am coordinating a doodle romp in honor of IDOG's (International Doodle Owners Group) Romp Around the World, which is normally held in April.  The event is scheduled for Sunday, April 21, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. until whenever.  We normally just all meet on the beach somewhere around Main Avenue and Ocean Avenue.

 

This is a fundraiser to raise money for IDOG - a great organization that rescues and rehomes Labradoodles and Goldendoodles.  While I have not set a dollar amount to contribute as some of the other RAW romps do, since I know this is not the best of financial times for a lot of people, I will have a little container/jug and ask that you contribute whatever you feel you can afford.  What better way to raise some money - a fun day on the beach with great doodles and their humans all while having fun.  Hope to see you there!!!

They are on my FB page - I didn't realize Doodlekisses had a FB page?  I didn't put them here as there were 61 pictures and it just takes too long for them to upload or I just don't know how to do it right.  If you want "friend" me on FB and then you can see the pictures.  I'm under Kate McGurk-May.

Kate, Finn and I were looking forward to meeting all of you but he started with the runs Sat. night and so I figured not a good time to drive an hour and a half to the beach.  Very disappointed but hope there will be another before the summer season begins.

HI Cheryl - bummer but hope he is feeling better.  Wise decision since some doodles end up with the runs after playing/drinking the ocean water as well.  I don't think there will be another romp at the beach until after Labor Day.  Most beaches do not allow the doodles on the beach after May 1 or Memorial Day.

 

No sure if you are up for a drive, but there is a romp in Harrisburg/Palmyra, PA this coming Saturday that I am helping a doodle friend coordinate.  Maci and I are heading out Friday so we are there bright and early Saturday morning to help our friend set up.  If you're interested, I'll send you details.
