Did a google search for the Les Poochs brushes and the Master Grooming tool came up and looks very similar to the Les Pooch brush. I mad wondering if anyone know anything about these brushes. I also noticed the Les Pooch page allows you to order the brushes on their website? Confused since I have read on here that these brushes are not available and also read something about AcriVet brushes but couldn't final them online. HELP! Trying to order the Les Pooch or a brush that is as good for my doodle. Please reply if you have any info that will help.

The Master Grooming brush is not near as good as the Les Pooch brush -- not even close.  I ordered a brush from the Les Pooch website a few months ago.  After it didn't come, I called Les Pooch, and they told me that they were backordered until summer but that they were holding everyone's orders.  They do not divulge this on the website.  I ended up ordering my Les Pooch brush from http://www.reigningcatsndogs.co.uk .  It is significantly more expensive than the retail price in the U.S., but it was totally worth it for me to go ahead and have the brush.  Someone else in another discussion mentioned how great Debbie from Reigning Cats n Dogs is to work with, and I must second that.  Their website is a bit confusing for international orders, but she will help you thru it.  The tines or bristles or whatever they are called are much longer and stronger on the Les Pooch brush than any other brush I have purchased.  I wish I had just bought the Les Pooch brush to begin with and not wasted my money on 5+ other brushes (including the MGT brush) that I will never use again.

Thanks for the info- FYI, reiningcatsanddogs is currently out of stock on the brushes. ;(

The MGT brush is just a cheaper knockoff of the LP/ActiVet brush. It works well...but when you actually compare the two side by side and use them, you can see the difference. My MGT brush barely lasted a year. I just got my LP brush about 2 months ago, so I can not attest to how long it will last, but many owners have told me they have had and actively used them for years and years.
There was someone on here last week who said they found LP brushes for $40. It sounds just to good to be true to me, but who knows. I do know many websites, including LP still take orders...but they are never filled.
I ended up getting my brush out of the UK. I probably paid a bit more for it with shipping, but I am thrilled with it.
I ordered one directly from Les Poochs website about a year ago. Was told that I'd get it in April. Still waiting :-(
I'm just now saw Helen's post. Yes! Debbie from Reigning Cats and Dogs was awesome in walking me through the order process.
If you feel you need one now, I recommend getting one from reigning catsndogs. I am so glad I got one for Yogi, I have used it for about 3 months now. It's been great. I know otherwise he'd probably be matted, but this brush works well!

I have both, and the MGT is okay, but really not as great as the LesPoochs. I think it is a good substitute because it is cheap and easily gotten, but I would order the LesPoochs from England (as Acitvet brand) even though it is expensive.

The Les Pooch brush is now being sold under the name of Activet. You can purchase them at www.groomershelper.com - I purchased the double mat buster (red)  $65 and the pro firm (purple) $40 brushes and they arrived in about a week.  The shipping was about $11 to AZ.

Thank you Teresa!  I ordered the purple one today.  Oakley thankfully has only had a few Mats but I want to stay on top of it.  May order the double mat buster as well.

I'm curious of what you will think of it, it looks different than the green one I have from the UK.
Good luck and I'm glad you located one.
I was just about to say the same thing. It definitely looks different. Glad you've found one! Let us know what you think!
