I usually shop online and definitely weigh customer reviews. Well, on a whim, I purchased from our natural pet store this "tough" toy with Velcro "ripping" sounds, etc. It lasted a couple hours!! Molly found a weak spot and defluffed it. What a waste of $17 (should have waited to check Amazon).

Please tell me what I can give her? She loved snuggle puppy, but that was destroyed after a while. These heavy/ribbed ones from Orvis were good until she ripped ears off. She likes antlers a lot, but we need stuffed toys too.

Thanks!

If s/he likes to chew, Nylabones are great! They literally last forever. I have yet to find a "fluffy" toy or toy with material last more than a day. I usually only give my puppy his fluffy crocodile at certain times of the day. After play or after he's had exercise. He's tired then, so it's more of a cuddle time than a devour time! Good luck!

It's only been a week, but PetPlay Under the Sea plush toys seems tough so far and she loves them, especially her turtle and squid. I've tossed them in the washer and dryer multiple times already too and they're holding up well.

we got Bentley this toy - it took him a long time to destroy it - we are on our second one now and have had it a long time...

Thank you, all! She really loved her snuggle puppy and would bring it to us at bedtime (from her crate) - she slept on him all night and we didn't let her play with it during the day. Once she chewed his tail off, she had a taste for this destruction, lol. I will get her these toys you mentioned!

As many of us have labradoodles as you have, I can say anything stuffed or anything plastic/rubber that feels remotely weak should not be bought. Labs are notorious for having powerful mouths and they like to chew inordinately more than other breeds. My yellow lab had to get the largest Nylabones to satisfy her chewing needs. There are also different textures that you can get in toys that will hold up just fine. Don't go with what it says on the package. I've learned to play around with the toy myself and contemplate whether or not I think it can be destroyed easily. You also should assume that it will be destroyed eventually. When it is, will it be safe for your dog?

Also, play to the likes and dislikes of your dog. I've only had my new puppy for about 3 weeks now, but I know exactly what he likes and his strength at this point in his life.

Enzo loves her plush toys, but once she zones in on an leg, or ear, any appendage...it soon becomes toast! New have found a number of super tuff toys...here are some on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/s/?ie=UTF8&keywords=super+tough+dog+toys&...

As others have stated, Malu cannot have anything stuffed or soft rubber, even tennis balls he will de-felt them in a matter of a few minutes. I also had that same "ripping sound" toy, I think it took him about 5 minutes to destroy. We like Kongs (although eventually he can destroy these too, depending on the shape), Nylabones (he has been through 3, for most people they will literally last FOREVER), West Paw hard rubber toys (not the skinny S shaped one) https://www.westpawdesign.com/, which also bounce like crazy (doodles love this) and float for our lake days, and StarMark everlasting food puzzles.

Malu spends several hours a day chewing on his various toys (he is almost 5) and we all know the New Doodle will be chewing plenty when we get him next week, so we are stocking up now!

Occasionally I will buy Malu an on sale stuffed animal for a dollar or two, knowing full well it will last about 10 minutes.
