Happily married, mother of 3 children, new mother to a doodle puppy (3/15/14)!, tutor in the public school system, freelance photographer.
What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!
Hugo is a multigenerational Australian Labradoodle, as of today 3/19/14 he is about 9 weeks old. We have had him for about 5 days, but it seems like he has always been with our family - just like with our human babies, it is hard to remember life pre-Hugo! We do not have any other pets.
Where did you get your doodle(s)?
Breeder
Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?
Allergies to dogs in the family. Also, we love the sweet and intelligent dispositions of the Australian Labradoodle.
What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?
Hugo is a a major cuddle bug! So we spend a lot of time snuggling and cuddling. He is a pretty serious chewer even at this young age. SInce we have only had him 5 days its hard to really say he has favorites, but but so far he loves the rope toys, his nylabone, his elk antler. With us he likes us to throw any of his balls to him, the JW pet balls are favorites. He also likes he short visits to the yard. So far he is not really interested in taking walks, hopefully that will come soon, as the weather warms up.
Does your doodle(s) shed?
Nope!
Who grooms your doodle(s)?
We will hire a groomer, but I will be the person in the family to do touch-up brushing, etc.
Favorite Doodle Products?
Elk Antler, JW balls, Kong products, smart ball (we call it the food ball), West Paw Bumi
Also, I noticed that someone in the Puppy Group recommended Red Barn. Stay away from Red Barn, most of their products are sourced in China. You want to look at where the products are sourced and made. Often a company has an American address on the packaging, but that's their distribution center, and the actual product comes from China.
Hi Melissa! We are planning to romp on Saturday 4/26 at noon in Easton, MA at the Sheep Pasture (309 Main St). Details are in the Mass doodles group if you would like to join us! :)
Hi Melissa ~ I am looking forward to seeing homecoming photos of your ALD and finding out what you are going to name it! I have two ALDs - Charlie Brown is 3 and Beau D is 1.5. They are so much fun - and so loving and smart! Welcome to Doodle Kisses!

Hi Melissa, I noticed your post in the Puppy Madness Group about only having received one response to your question in the Food Group about bully sticks. I think you might not be getting notifications, because there were way more responses and suggestions than just one, lol: http://www.doodlekisses.com/group/thefoodgroup/forum/topics/best-bully-stick-brands?xg_source=activity
