I haven't been on DK for a while. I have 30 good excuses. That is 30 dogs/puppies right now. Lots to do. I couldn't find the pics you were referring to so that I could comment on the haircut. Could you send me the link?
Let me know how things go for your daughter. Luckily Fozzy has no issues other than with strangers. No food, toy or treat aggression. And if the stranger is with a dog - no problem. I think he is being protective, maybe. One of the higer ups from the rescue I got Fozzy at is supposed to be contacting me when I get back from vacation. Hopefully they will be able to help and I won't have to go to the behaviorist.
Kenzie is toooo cute. What a great face. Enjoy all the puppy sleeping, it seems to be short lived.
Beth is right they LOVE the snow.
She is adorable!! What a face!! They DO love snow!!
As far as the brushing tip you asked for , I would start now while she is young and get her use to it. A little bit at a time!! She's going to have a beautiful coat!
Since you just got her she probably has a few baths 'under her collar 'already...I bathe mine as often as I think they need it, depending on how much fun they have had.
Enjoy that puppt breath..you must be so excited!
It's not easy to find one in your area that is also low shed--but it's possible if you're patient.
Place an application with IDOG.biz and peruse our "Doodle in Need" group for listings too.
The thing is, that often you get what you pay for. Read this article I wrote on health problems in doodles and why choosing a good breeder is critical. Breeders who do things right often charge quite a bit--so anyone charging very little money is cause for red flag. Here's the article:

You'll also find that higher generation doodles cost more money than lower generation.
If non shedding is really important to you, you might consider a standard poodle--if you find an excellent groomer, you may very well get away with keeping your standard poodle a little bit more shaggy.
