About Me:

Former Nursery School Teacher with four adult children and five grandchildren. Married - employed in retail while children were in high school and college. Presently enjoying taking care of two of our grandchildren two days, volunteer work, spend a lot of time at a cabin up north - especially good for our dog as we have many acres of fields and woods that she can run off leash.

What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!

We have a golden retriever that was going to be used for breeding with the poodles. Originally were very intersted in the doodles but at the breeders we fell in love with our golden retriever. She is red, two years old, bred for hunting. Very mild mannered and very smart. Currently she is our only pet. In the past we have had a golden retriever and a cat at the same time.

Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?

We were originally interested in the doodles because of their good nature, significantly less shedding than some of the goldens we had. Just liked everything we had read about them and they are so adorable not only as puppies but as adults.

What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?

Our very favorite things to do with our golden retriever are to go swimming and to hike up the hills and through the fields on our property.

Does your doodle(s) shed?

A little bit but nothing major

Who grooms your doodle(s)?

So far we have had to just trim her but we have her day care or the vet do her nails and we do the shampooing unless she is staying at a kennel and then they do it before we return.

Favorite Doodle Products?

A giant sized "jack" - easy to play with and easy to toss - have been through two dogs with it and it hasn't been distroyed yet!
