Hi, Penny is from Kira and Mac's litter, born October 19, 2010. She is such a joy! We couldn't be happier. :) She has the sweetest temperament.

Any littermates from Kira and Mac born Oct 19 2010 out there? I would love to see Lauscha's mates as their get older. Janece you did a WONDERFUL job with my puppy...

Hi! My doodle Gracie was from Dakota and Europa's litter, born January 14, 2010. Absolutely the best dog ever. So far I've been mostly browsing doodle kisses. I need to get busy and put photos on my site.

Hi Nancy,

Agnes went through a period of shedding when she lost the puppy coat. It wasn't much... came out in clumps. She still loses hair when I comb her (again in clumps) but the "shedding" seems to have stopped. What type of coat does he have? Agnes has a curly coat -- it has gotten more curly (tight curls now) like a poodle.

Hey Janice, check out Patti Cakes new pix. We got her first summer haircut last week. She also just got a new little sister Helga the red dobe pup. Now she is helping raise her.

It was so scary! I just heard this afternoon that some dogs can have a reaction to certain batches of rabies vaccines, so maybe that was it. I'm not sure if there would be a genetic predisposition towards a bad reaction to the vaccine, but I just wanted to let others know. Mostly, I was just so surprised with the way he reacted-- I would've expected a vaccine reaction to be redness/itching at the injection site and then hives. In fact, at first when just 1 of his eyes was swollen we almost started to rinse his eye with water--I thought he had just gotten something in his eye!
I guess I just wanted to let all GD owners know that this type of reaction can occur to vaccines.
Our vet had originally suggested we do the rabies vaccine the same time we get him neutered next month. I am SO thankful we did not do this...I don't know what would've happened if he had had this allergic reaction while he was sedated for his surgery!

Just an FYI regarding our puppy, Fozzie, from Owen & Akira's litter-
Fozzie just had his rabies vaccine last week and he had a bad reaction to it! He has had plenty of vaccines before, of course, but this is the first one he had a reaction to. Within 45min-1 hr after leaving the vet his eye started to swell up. Then his other eye swelled...by the time we got him back to the vet his eyes were swollen shut AND his nasal passages were swollen shut! He could only breathe through his mouth and he was foaming at the nose....The vet had to give him IV steroids and an IM shot of Benedryl. She said oral Benadryl would not of helped his reaction completely, and said it was a 'moderate/severe' reaction and he will always need prophylaxis meds before his yearly rabies vaccine.
I just wanted to let other owners of puppies from Owen/Akira's litters know to watch for this type of reaction.
