So, how is it going with your new pup?  They sure grow fast, don't they?

One last thing to prove my point- when you were looking to adopt you noticed there were it many Doodles in your area. Why is that?
Because in order to have them, we have to have homes and volunteers to put them.
Some human must feed, vet, train donate to get them into rescue.
We have very few in your area helping

The Doodle Rescue is desperate for foster homes in CA. Volunteer at www.doodlerescueinc.org
If you can not open your home or time, of course, money to treat all these doodles with Heartworm has costs us thousands recently! Instead of telling us all off, use that time better- join our rescues and find out what we truly are all about
This was not meant in poor taste. If you feel that strongly- we could use you!

I wan you to realize that the people you spoke to- those who responded to your post are the most active members. Those people are the ones who give thousands upon thousands to rescue. I mean thousands. Those people you spoke to are active members of the several doodle rescue organizations here on this site. Yes, this site is the FUN happy puppy site, but we are linked closely to RESCUE!
If you would have stuck around long enough, you would have known who you were talking with. You were preaching to the choir!! LOL
We are all foster parents, adopters, donators. We are the active members.
You mentioned on someone else's page we seemed to be ' doom Sayers'. Well maybe that is because we have had those experiences also. Could be- those with experience know the pros and cons of many situations.
Honestly- you don't have to tell off most of us. We are ' the rescuers'
Put your mouth to work- volunteer your time, your home, your money, and join us in helping not just ONE dog, but many a year!

Glad your new household member arrived safely and happily.  Don't be too critical of people who advised against flying dogs as there are many feelings about that.  I have had no bad experiences and shared that with you.  But...glad everything has worked out.  I hope you and your sons really enjoy Marta.

Try our Doodle Rescue. Most are housebroken and so are their hearts. Your boys would love them...

You are most welcome . . . I get really tired of dooms-day sayers . . .

The articles that were attached by Karen & Jack were interesting, but SO completely opposite of my experience with Scott.  I also noticed that they were both posted in April of 2008 and when I got Mooki in July of 2007, he and Beth were downsizing their breeding activities because she was going back to work and he was committing himself full time to the farm.  We did Google aerial searches of their property and they were NOT running a puppy farm . . . At any rate, I was only recommending his transportation expertise which I found excellent.  Sorry you had to start out with group under such chaos.

When do you get your new puppy?

Kat

Hi David,

Regarding the "breeder" in KS who was recommended to you in your discussion, here's what you're up against when you try to evaluate a breeder on the internet:

http://www.ripoffreport.com/animal-shelters/puppyforyou-com/puppyforyou-com-shoddy-puppy-b-4d48e.htm

http://www.ripoffreport.com/animal-shelters/puppyforyou-com-scot/puppyforyou-com-scott-frankl-d7e53.htm

Now, here's a DK member recommending this person to you. You see the problem.

I hope you have read Adina's information on What to Look For in a Breeder. If not, please do before purchasing any puppy. And if at all possible, you really want to go there in person and meet not just the breeder and the puppy, but the parents. Your dog's temperament will depend in large part on his parents' temperaments. This is especially important if you have kids.

There are some very good breeders on the West Coast.
