About Me:: I have raised and breed several types of dogs and I love the Golden Doodle breed. There is just something about a Doodle that you don't find in other breeds, and yet I can't put a finger on it, or why this breed has won my heart. I also do in home pet sitting and this is where I had my first encounter with a Golden Doodle.

What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!: I have Hannah who is a Golden Doodle and she will be 1 year old on Aug. 2. One of the biggest suprises I got with this breed is that they can have Entropion. Hannah had to have both eyes operated on, and I think this breeds owners need to be educated on health problems they can have to better this breeds existance.

Where did you get your doodle(s)?: Breeder

Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?: I had rottweilers and love the breed to this day, but when i pet sat for 2 Golden Doodles, they stole my heart, so when my Holly passed on in November, Hannah's love took over. There is just something about a Doodle.

What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?: Dog obedience classes at Trifecta Kennels in Gilbert PA, Hannah also enjoys playing at the doggy parks, and also helps me with my disability and travels all over with me.

Does your doodle(s) shed?: Nope!

Who grooms your doodle(s)?: For the most part Hannah is brushed 2xs a day, I have bathed and cut her, but I also take her to Pet on the Ritz in Bethlehem

Favorite Doodle Products?: Hannah loves to dress up....any ideas

Training Issues

I started obedience training Hannah when she was about 5 months old. She started out great, in fact she was exceptional, after puppy classes were over we moved on to the next stage. Hannah wound up being the only pup finishing two sets of classes using a flat collar, and than we started trying to train her for Rally O. All of a sudden she started acting disinterested and actually refusing to do what you asked her to do. These are all things like sit and stay, watch me, down, she has done before… Continue

Got the surgery at 5 months. NO other dogs related to him had it so I think it was a fluke rather than "genetic." But my breeder reimbursed me in full for the surgery as part of her health guarantee. 99% of the breeders on this site do health testing and are very active at keeping the doodles healthy via responsible, educated breeding.
