Hi
My dog Shadow is 2 yrs old. Its a golden doodle. Its a lovely dog.
From the time he was a puppy most of the time he was not able to find the ball. I recently noticed him dashing on the open closets. I took him to the ophthalmologists. Shadow was diagnosed with cataract in both the eyes. The ophthalmologists also mentioned the cataract is matured and it has started to dissolve.

Sorry it didn't work out. Was it the Tufts in North Grafton that you called? The Foster Hospital for Small Animals (508) 839-5395. I am surprised that is so expensive there.
I see you live in Massachusetts. There is a great opthalmologist in Petersham, MA. His practice is Veterinary Opthalmology of New England and his name is Dr Alan Bacharach. Phone # is 978 724-0300. Two friends of mine have rescue dogs(not doodles) that needed surgery for glaucoma and had excellent results with him. They said his cost was very reasonable. Maybe a phone call to inquire about cost would be helpful.
