- I am a homemaker with two pups--Baxter my Goldendoodle and an English Lab named Kuriboh. I have an adult daughter and son; our son (the youngest) is a college senior in another state! I love to read and garden, walk my dogs in beautiful places and photograph them.
- What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!
- I have a medium-size F1 English Teddybear Goldendoodle named Baxter. And we have an English Yellow Lab named Kuriboh, who just loves to play with his little brother!
- Where did you get your doodle(s)?
- Breeder
- Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?
- I fell in love with a goldendoodle at my vet's office, and then saw a few around my neighborhood, and just had to have one!
- What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?
- We love to watch the two dogs playing, and we love to swim with them in our lagoon-style pool. Our little doodle jumps into the water from the boulders surrounding the pool! We also love to take long walks with them. I love to photograph them!

- Nope!
- Who grooms your doodle(s)?
- Bithia at All Fur Love Grooming in Danville, CA, and me!

New Warnings on Treats from China

Before the press came out about the contaminated dog food from China, our lab began experiencing kidney problems. As soon as the press alerted us to the problem, we discontinued his sweet potato treats, which were manufactured there. Luckily, he improved. We had no evidence that the treats were behind his kidney issues except for his improvement after it was removed from his diet. Until now. The brand we used is listed in this new warning. Beware! …

Hi! I have Baxter, a Teddybear Goldendoodle who just turned one last month. Almost from the time he came home at 8 weeks, we've been trying to teach him how to give us his paw to shake or high 5, to no avail! It made no sense! He was super intelligent, always wants to please, saw our lab shake paw a zillion times, seemed so advanced in so many ways, yet this one simple command was just never understood! Did you make Baxter's stocking? I got one this year for Zeppo too because the dog on the stocking looked like Zeppo.
Thanks for your comments on my photos. Come down any time and we will show you around Asilomar and Carmel and Ft. Ord. It is beautiful down here in the springtime and usually nice weather.
And I thought I was bad with 200 photos on my page! We seem to have a lot in common, besides dogs. Funny that we each got one of those doodle Christmas dogs also. My husband said why did I want one of those, I have the real thing, but he enjoyed it in front of the house as did many of the neighbors. They drive down the hill and see the doodle in front of the garage and think our dogs are out.

Your Baxter looks just like my Harpo. I just clipped his face this morning and he looks even more like Baxter, but Harpo is an ALD. What is Baxter's size? Harpo is about 50 pounds.

Good Morning Patti! Thank you so much for the many nice comments about Banjo....as you may have noticed I've taken just a few pics of him...LOL....
I think I must have nearly 3,000 on my hard drive by now. Actually, I took my dusty point and shoot off the shelf when Banjo came to us as a puppy and became obsessed with trying to get "cute" pics of him. One thing led to another and now I have a DSLR and bring it with me everywhere.....I just love photography now. At least I'm branching out - but I still love taking pics of my little guy!
