Profile Information

About Me:: My name is Mandi Black and I live in Eatonton Georgia. My husband and I retired here about 2 years ago. We live on 900 acres so I love the outdoors and animals. I have English Pointers and a German Shorthair that we take bird hunting. I also have Toy Poodles that live in my house that are my babies and of course my Doodles, Auggie and Gabby they are the light of my life! My hobbies include hunting,shooting and walking my dogs. I love to do anything that includes my dogs!

What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!: I Have 2 Australian Labradoodles Auggie and Gabby. They are 6 1/2 and 7 mos old, they came to me from Sunset Hills in Australia. They have beautiful chocolate fleece coats and will be medium in size. I am very excited about breeding my pair some time in 2010.

Where did you get your doodle(s)?: Breeder

Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?: I love Labs and Poodles and have had both as pets. The mix gives you the best of both worlds. They are very loving and sweet natured, and fun but calm, which I love. They are the BEST breed I have ever had, and they don't SHED!

What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?: We walk a lot. I take them on trails on my property but I also like to walk in the city. That gives them people time and exposure to all elements of life.

Does your doodle(s) shed?: Nope!

Who grooms your doodle(s)?: I give them bathes but I have taken them once to Petsmart in conyers and they did a good job!

Favorite Doodle Products?: I do not have a favorite yet!

Hard to believe my little ones are 4 weeks old today, where does the time go...they are eating like little piglets and growing like weeds.. Gabby has been the best mom ever, I am so proud of her!

How much do your doodles weigh? I just had Timbow groomed at Dee's Grooming Gallery (who did a wonderful job), but it ended up being $130!!!!!!! Does your groomer follow your directions well? How do you normally have them cut? Sorry for all the questions, hope you're having a nice day!

I am not in the breeding business, but do you already have people showing interest in their pups right now? That is going to be exciting I'm sure, but also a lot of work. Fulfilling work though. My husband tells me our bird season is over up here in Cincy. He did not participate this year though. Maybe come turkey season he'll get out there.
