12 week old puppy is being a BRAT today!!

Grrrrr....

So Walter, my 12 week old miniature Goldendoodle, comes to work with me every day. Up until now he has always behaved like a true gentleman - but today he has turned into a little demon!!!!

 

Yesterday afternoon he discovered the joy of BARKING. I work in an office where people come up to a window to talk to our receptionist, as soon as he hears the door bell he takes off running from my office to go back at whoever is at the window in a "play with me" way. Most people think this is cute, however I DO NOT because this is such a bad habit he is developing.

 

Normally, he stays in his crate most of the day under my desk, we go out for quick potty breaks and he has some floor play time, but then I'll put him back in his crate to nap. But today he is just not having it, he is whining as soon as I put him in his crate. And he is crate trained! I feel like, in this sense, we are going back to week 9! LOL!

 

He's just being such a brat today - and I know he is just testing me to see what he can get away with. But, the little bugger is really testing my patience today!!!

 

....sorry I just needed to vent. :)

Wow--you are brave to have a puppy that young with you at work every day! What a wonderful thing for him though! Expect many challenges ahead as the days of napping peacefully in the crate are over! He is very cute-enjoy....
