Why is my doodle doing this?! He snapped aqain today? Is it because of his ear infection? He has never done this before. The other dog wanted to play with him and he was laying down and he snapped! WTD!? I am getting worried. He never used to be so mean. What do you think I should do? I don't want him to become agressive.... Am I becoming paranoid?

Taylor & Bryce - I know that I am late to this discussion but just know that Huff does't feel well.  He is crabby.  Remember back to last time you were sick and then pretend that some new kid wanted to play with you - not gunna happen.  Huff needs lots of loves right now and should be given a little down time till he feels better.  Give him a hug from Rooney and I!
Thanks:) I will. I just never want my baby to be aggressive....
The reason I was so upset when I wrote this was because somebody told me that Huff grabbed onto the other dog's lips and wouldn't let go. That is why I was so worried for those of you who were starting to think I was paranoid or insane. haha:) It turns out, that wasn't true. Thank goodness!:) I was so surprised when they told me this because I know my Huff and he does not do that. The story went like this, Huff was sleeping and the other dog got in his face, he growled and snapped at her. That is all. There was no lip grabbing at all. I know some of you may be thinking I am giving him excuses but I know Huff. He doesn't bite. There is no reason for you doodlers to be afraid of Huff either way though because he still likes doodles:) Thanks everyone for reading my rant and helping me. I was so worried. Thank GOODNESS it is NOT true!:)
It sounds like he may have preempted the other dog going near his sore ear.  I know that ear infections are terribly painful so I'm guessing that it must be due to that.  I think if he does it again when he's not ill then you can take other action and advice though right now I'd say don't worry.  Hope Huff is better soon.
I agree with everyone else.  Give Huff some chill out time alone until you're SURE he's all better.  You don't want him to learn the effectiveness of growling and snapping because he's forced to do it more and more.
I wish my dad would leave him home but he wont. Maybe I will try to explain this to him but if he doesn't give in, I will take Huff for a timeout so he can relax or maybe a walk?
I just wanted you guys to know that it has been a long time since he has snapped again (the last, time was when I posted this discussion). I think it must have been his ears. They aren't completely better yet but better than before. I know what you are thinking, that is what we have been telling you! haha I just wanted to see it for myself:)
But thanks everyone very much for not getting annoyed with me:)
