Leaving the TV or Radio on while at work...

Does anyone leave their TV or Radio on for their Doodles while at work all day? There's been so many times when I leave in the mornings that I think, would it really make any difference to them? The house just seems so deathly quiet when I leave. I mean, I realize that they sleep the majority of the day while we are gone, but what about when they are not sleeping? Maddie will actually watch some TV with us if there is some sort of an animal on. Just wondering...

I leave the TV on for Kachi. I'm hoping he doesn't get addicted to All My Children. I'm thinking of getting some Dog Whisperer DVD's for him. He can learn all about being 'calm-submissive' and 'truly balanced' JK!!

Well I left TV on Animal Planet this AM. Before I left, I discovered I forgot something upstairs and went up to get it. While up there, I heard Maddie barking, which she seldom does. So when I went back down to check it out, she was watching cat videos on Animal Planet! So she ought to be well occupied all day today!

I leave the Tv on for the Pups. They are not home alone often.
I agree that you do not have to do this. I just like to waste energy (that is what DH says).

I leave the TV on. I look for the channel that has music. I read that classical music is actually soothing and calms them.
Not sure how much it helps but I do it. =)

I turn the radio on for my puppies every day. I notice it tends to soothe them.
