I ask that, but I have no major plans. Unless we're going on a full on vacation, we tend to beat the heat and be homebodies. But this Sunday morning I'm going to "help" work on the dog park fence--it's been a long project in the making but in the past 3-4 weekends, our little group has gotten a ton done! You can see our progress on our dog park website. We hope to open by Labor Day.

Then maybe some house cleaning and picking dead cherries off our tree. They were almost ready to be picked on Monday...we waited until Wed evening to start and 1/3rd of them were bad, 1/2 of them had worms (despite repeated spraying)...so it's a bit of a sad situation. At least (ugh) the dogs are enjoying the foraging every chance they get!

What about you? Anything fun?

Oooh I just remembered the Caledonian Games are this weekend! Dog park work or Caledonian games??? So hard to choose...perhaps we'll watch the early sheep dog trials and THEN go help with the dog park...
no plans, hubby and kids are taking off to go to the inlaws and I'm taking the weekend off to hang out with Paddington. They have the annual Horse and Dog show but I probably won't go because I don't want to go alone, I don't like doing anything by myself.
KJ, I don't like doing things by myself either!

We're starting the weekend off big with the girls being in a wedding tonight (we leave here in about 1 1/2 hours and my angels are all napping soundly right now - hooray!) They are going to come down the aisle ringing bells before the bride walks down the aisle. So sweet!

I got the gate installed between the kitchen/dining area yesterday so my only other puppy preparation left is to put up the crate. I think I need to wait on that because I'm afraid it will make it harder to wait these last two weeks.

Anyway, after tonight's festivities I have a feeling we're going to be ready to relax this weekend!
LOL--you sound like me when Clark leaves town. I clean the house and stay home and skip church and hibernate. I'm not depressed, in fact I like the freedom in a way and get a lot done. But it's just not FUN to go places alone...it's almost ANNOYING that I can't have someone else there. But you might find Paddington is enough company...if I take Rosco with me I feel like I have "someone" there and at least he brings conversation if nothing else!
How could I forget to mention that I'll also be compulsively checking our breeders website starting tomorrow? She usually updates the puppies pictures every week, anytime from Saturday to Monday. Usually Monday. But I'll start checking tomorrow!
I remember those days. Utter and sheer OCD checking of my breeder's site. She could NOT have put up enough pictures to satisfy my hourly curiosity...LOL
Oh I am so glad that I'm not alone in my obsessiveness!
As with every Friday evening, Holly and I go to "Cruisin' Grand" which is a big weekly car show on one of Escondido's downtown streets. Hundreds of people, loud noises and blasting music have conditioned Holly to frantic activity and she takes it all in stride.

And I love how the people gush over her!
