What do you think of the new feature???

Hi Everyone,

Can you see the new "Who's Online?" feature? You can type in a message in the "Shout Message" box underneath the photos that slide across the screen. You can ONLY be seen by members who are logged in. So outsiders will not see you as "online."

What do you think of it? Helpful, useful, fun? Or annoying, not so useful? does it slow things down? Would you rather NOT show that you're online?

You can click the X and turn it off and turn it back on by clicking "Who's Online?" under the little box that says "Hello, Your Name!"

Let me know if we should keep it or drop it! Seriously...if you HATE seeing yourself up there...send me a private message. There is no current option to opt out of being "seen."

I have been gone for the past couple days and when I logged in I found it a surprise. But I LIKE IT! Its fun...and who cares if someone really IS on here all day...It just means its boiling hot outside and nobody wants to be out there! At least those of us in the NW don't want to be out there, unless you're swimming with your dood!! ...I'm not sure how you Central and Eastern folks are doing but we're scorching over here.

I really like the new feature! I am also one that drift in and out on the computer during the day so it is easier to just stay logged in. It helps with chats. I hope it stays!

Other observations:

It appears the "Who's online" slow's down navigation in the site

Once it is turned off - it stays off - even when you re-log in. (I did't realize it - I just figured it out)

Although I do like it, I don't like the idea that I can not "hide".

My vote would be to remove it if you cn not impliment a "hide" feature.
