24 Hours to go in the Logo Contest...

24 hours left... and a consensus is building around this design:
We like this design very much and it has consistently polled among you guys as the best available entry.  There are others we liked just as much... but none that we could say we liked more than this one.

The other current entries did not have the same impact with us and with you guys. See the polls:

There were MANY good designers who entered very good concepts.  But it looks like among the current entries, this will be the winner.  Now, there might be a completely new entry that is superior... but with our long history of trying to have designers create a logo for us (for over a year!), we'd put the chance of that happening at about 0%.  We are not shutting down entries because it ain't over 'til it's over.

 

So how can we make this design better?  If this wasn't your favorite, what tweaks would you make to bring it into line with your "perfect logo"?  We are still revising this image so your feedback is important.

I love this happy Doodle face, but it was the floppy ear that really got me.

I have actually loved this logo from the very beginning....maybe a more fun font for the tag line "where doodle owners connect". Also the color is great on this but I thought you were going to stick with the orange, black and gray, it works for the lips with red so I don't know if you could really get that with orange.

I really like this design.   I don't know if you're limited to just the red and white.   I'm wondering how this would work with a 3rd color.....say a deep caramel in all the red areas EXCEPT for the heart and lips....keeping those two items red.     Just a thought.

Carol it's actually red and black - the white is the background....I actually thought orange, black and gray were a must (see my comment above), wondering if it would work with orange though.

In the print world it's best to go with 2 colors, that 3rd color usually means a big jump in print expense,  with black, you get gray with screens so it would look like 3 colors but only paying for 2.

Anyway changing to red and black and gray but again I thought they wanted to stick with orange.

 

blah blah blah, can you tell I am in the print world? LOL

LOL....It must be fun to be in the "print world"....all that creative stuff going on!   I thought it might be more expensive with additional colors.  Maybe it would work with a really deep shade of orange (?)  something that would work well with the existing DK orange.

I think it's a great choice! It's fun, cute, more professional and clean looking than many of the others. It's been one of my favorites from the beginning. My only suggestion would be that it should be more of the DK orange, rather than red. Unless you are going to redo the colors on DK when you introduce the new logo...

I'll have to be a good sport about it, because this was not one of my favorites. :(

Maybe the doodle could have a beard or a mustache, or some kind of facial hair?  That little black curve off to the side just isn't a doodle smile.

It's cute but it doesn't scream DoodleKisses to me. I would love it more with DK orange and more doodley character, maybe a doodle in the midst of giving a doodle kiss...
