24 hours left... and a consensus is building around this design:
We like this design very much and it has consistently polled among you guys as the best available entry.  There are others we liked just as much... but none that we could say we liked more than this one.

The other current entries did not have the same impact with us and with you guys. See the polls:

Poll 1, Poll 2, Poll 3.

There were MANY good designers who entered very good concepts.  But it looks like among the current entries, this will be the winner.  Now, there might be a completely new entry that is superior... but with our long history of trying to have designers create a logo for us (for over a year!), we'd put the chance of that happening at about 0%.  We are not shutting down entries because it ain't over 'til it's over.

So how can we make this design better?  If this wasn't your favorite, what tweaks would you make to bring it into line with your "perfect logo"?  We are still revising this image so your feedback is important.

Thank you so much for your help.  Even if your favorite did not win, your feedback has changed the way each logo was updated.  We truly appreciate it!

Well for me the process was just plain fun.  I loved being able to log on and see the designs and participate in the polls. Thanks for letting us share in this.  This scruffy Doodle does bring a smile to my face.  I think some of what makes this so hard is that all of our Doodles are so different....we probably all have our own perspective on that the "perfect" Doodle representation should be.  Maybe I like this one because I think he looks a little like Murph with the goofy smile and the twinkle in his eye.. LOL

It would have been completely impossible for Adina and Clark to chose a process that would have pleased everyone. There are always going to be people who disagree with the outcome, with almost 8000 members! I think that they made the best choices for the DK site, as well as the members. And I definitely think it was fair, they balanced their opinions with the members opinions very well.

For those that don't think DK members had enough impact on the final decision, you are wrong! Believe me! :-) So I think we should all step back and start being more positive. DK is still the same DK no matter what logo was chosen. And I personally think the design chosen is great!

Thank you Camilla!  You are gracious and kind.  AND you put an immense amount of work into making some terrific logos!  You've got skills, girl!
Aw, shucks! LOL

Camilla, I am very fond of you as you know. However, opinions are just that and by definition they cannot be "wrong". And I do think it is important in some cases, such as this , to express them.

I didn't know you submitted designs but I am sure Clark is correct in commending them.

I agree, opinions are not wrong and I think everyone here values your opinions. I know I do.  :-)

What I am trying to say is that despite the fact that everyone liked different logos, we can all choose to be positive about the one that was chosen. Once the contest is over, (which it will be very soon) it won't do good to dwell on the things we didn't like about the process and final choice. Even if things weren't done to everyone's satisfaction, Adina and Clark did a great job trying to satisfy as many people as possible, while still doing what they feel is best for DK. So moving on, and giving input on how to improve the chosen design is really the most productive option.

Absolutely.
yea. That's true. Thanks Adina and Clark!
CAMILLA.... I LOVE how you think!  You are a daughter a mom would be proud of, a wife a husband would be grateful to call "his own", and a friend, a friend would be honored to have!!!
:-) :-) :-) I feel all warm and fuzzy inside... LOL. You are so nice!
"Warm and fuzzy" Camilla... just like a DOODLE !!!   ;o)
For one so young, you are wise and mature in your views.  In my too-many-to-mention years on this earth, I have come to realize that you can please some of the people some of the time, but you can NEVER please all of the people all of the time.  Frankly, I am pleased that we had an opportunity to give input at all.  The Facebook guy never sought my opinion!  Maybe I'd have been more opinionated if I'd submitted a design - which would NEVER happen as my artistic skills are nil...
