I don't know that anyone remembers Taffy but she was picked up as a stray (if my memory is right) here in Atlanta early this year. I discovered a few months ago that she now lives in my neighborhood (I'm in Lawrenceville)!!
She and Tank are the very best of friends. Neither of them care about any other dogs in the neighborhood, just each other. We live at one end of the street and she at the other. When they see each other, they will pull and literally jump for joy when they see each other. If Taffy sees Tank walk by, she will stand at the window and whine. I think Tank would be happy to stand outside her house and just wait for her to come out. I've already told my husband that should something ever happen (and I'm sure it will not, her family adores her) that she needs a new home, she has one with us.
It is so very sweet to see and I'm trying to get a picture of them together. She is happy and very well taken care of. There was really no other reason to post other than to share some happy news about one of the former rescues during the holidays.
UPDATE: Finally able to get a picture. Not a great one but getting both of them to be still enough to take it and then pose close together was more than my husband could manage. Tank is the cream one and Taffy is the apricot one.

So sweet....thanks for sharing. Yes, we do need good news.
Thanks for posting about how well Taffy is doing in her forever home.Great news! And, it is so sweet that she and Tank feel so connected. I've heard other tales of doodles being attracted to other doodles...do they know? :)
I'd love to see a photo of Tank and his GF Taffy! Thanks for posting!
Yes, love this happy story! When you get a chance post a photo of them together!
I love a happy ending!! Thank you for sharing!
Thanks for sharing a story with a happy ending! Last fall, we went to a romp. A mini doodle was there who turned out to be one of the 21 doodle kids DKers reached out to help. She was so sweet and it was exciting to meet one of the real life "kids."
Great story, Cyndi! Thanks for sharing.
that is a perfectly good reason to post..A wonderful ending to what could have been a horrible ending...So glad that you get to see her, and that your dog is best friends with her...what a nice holiday story....
