- I'm retired, have two grown daughters, enjoy traveling and photography and, of course, hanging out with the dawg.
- What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!
- I have chocolate, multi-gen, Australian labradoodle, Traveler, who is four years old. Actually, he started out chocolate but is now more taupe. How goofy does THAT sound?? A taupe dog.
- Where did you get your doodle(s)?
- Breeder
- Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?
- I did a lot of research about breeds when I decided I wanted to add a dog to my life, and doodles sounded perfect for me. Good-natured, smart, little or no shedding, and with an appealing shaggy-dog appearance.
- What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?
- Traveler is great on car trips, loves playing keep-away or tug-of-war or almost any run and fun game. He's very smart and mellow and is a great companion in just about any situation.
- Does your doodle(s) shed?
- Nope!
- Who grooms your doodle(s)?
- I do, but would love to find a good doodle groomer.
- Favorite Doodle Products?
- Balls, Kongs, plush toys, ropes, anything for throwing or playing keep-away.

Portland, Oregon!!! Yipeeeee!!
The beloved, battered and once again repaired traveling trophy was life-flighted from Texas to a top-notch repair facility in Pennsylvania before winging its way back across the country to Oregon. The reason for this detour has to do with the trophy falling apart from all the doodle lovin' it has received.

We have new neighbors a couple of houses up on the other side of the street. I noticed this morning that there was a young pit bull looking dog in their yard, trying to dig his way under the gate. He'd gotten his head and part of a shoulder out. Nobody was home at his house. I took a big piece of firewood over and stuffed it under the gate, which seemed to scare him away from that spot.
I'd been out for most of the afternoon, and had company later on. Looking out, I saw the dog…

Apparently I left a gate open yesterday when I was mowing the lawn. Trav has been outside several times since then, but maybe didn't notice that one gate was open, and I didn't either.
This afternoon we played ball in the yard for a while, and I'd been back inside for some time when I heard him 'talking.' He was using a little in-the-throat sound that usually means 'I want to go outside,' which was strange since the door was already open.

Oh, I see what you are talking about now, Pat. Yes, that was our family reunion last summer, actually my mom's family from Pennsylvania. There are two brothers and their families. It is quite a group.
Pat, just saw you were run over by a big dog. Ouch! Since I'm still healing from a run-in with a bicycle, I share your pain. The world is a dangerous place :) Feel better soon.

Hi thanks for the nice comments. I think Trav and Riley are similar coloring but it's sometimes hard to tell in pictures depending on the light. Riley is lots of colors sort of blondie,cafe in parts. Boris is now the same size as Riley and still growing! They both weigh over 50 lbs, Boris is a big softy who adores his big brother and everyone who will give him a cuddle. Really well behaved and very calm. Riley gets him into trouble he is the one who thinks up the mischief. This morning it was another toilet roll LOL
