A dream come true! Tales (tails?) from the Doodle Cruise.

We started planning in July of 2011 and the Doodle Cruise was but a dream.  All the days of planning and waiting and finally it was here.  The chance to meet in person some of my DK IDOLS!  From the 1st moment it was truely like we were all old friends - because we really were old friends.  This past week was one I will never forget.  There were tons of laughs, some tears, dancing, way too much eating and drinking.  Doodle talk of course!!!  I am way to tired (and want to spend time with Rooney, Stuart and DH) to go into details - those will all come as people get home but I'll share a few photos with you all.  Oh and of course WE CAN'T TELL EVERYTHING - some things will have to stay on the ship.

I understand "Dark" and I'm so glad you are coming around. I ended a 27 year marriage....Sometimes we need to corral the wagons and just stay home.  I hope you are finding yourself again, god knows its not easy.  Very glad to hear that Calif is doing good things for your endeavors.  I've missed your input and blogs about dear Rua.  Take Care!

Nicky - you could come and be Dori's cabin mate!!!!!  We did so well together.  Course I had ordered a bottle of Spiced Rum, Vodka, and a bottle of Baileys Irish Cream for our cabin.  Then we each carried on a bottle of wine and some mixers.  I brought much of it home but it made "getting ready for dinner" special!

what do you mean you "ordered a bottle of..." You can buy whole bottles for your room?

It is called BonVoyage Department and yes you can order bottles for your room - of course they charge you 3 times the going rate - lol but I ordered them ahead of time so they were already paid for.  You can also order gifts, flowers, cabin decorations, etc.

OHHHHHHH. Welcome home to all of you MOST wonderful people.....you we missed, but I'm so happy for all of you that you got to meet in person and have such a wonderful time! Thanks Jane for giving us a little taste of the fun.....looking forward to seeing and hearing more.
