A dream come true! Tales (tails?) from the Doodle Cruise.

We started planning in July of 2011 and the Doodle Cruise was but a dream. All the days of planning and waiting and finally it was here. The chance to meet in person some of my DK IDOLS! From the 1st moment it was truely like we were all old friends - because we really were old friends. This past week was one I will never forget. There were tons of laughs, some tears, dancing, way too much eating and drinking. Doodle talk of course!!! I am way to tired (and want to spend time with Rooney, Stuart and DH) to go into details - those will all come as people get home but I'll share a few photos with you all. Oh and of course WE CAN'T TELL EVERYTHING - some things will have to stay on the ship.

Here is Dori and I at Sail Away - the weather is Miami was getting cloudy - great time to leave.

Yes, you guessed it! Laurie had shirts made for all of us to match her door. We all know that Laurie is very subtle and non-competitive, so this was quite a surprise.

Hmmmm we really didn't shop and I know my kids and grandkids are going to be asking the same thing. How would you feel about a DK door hanger, or maybe a Fudge and Vern shirt? I have to tell you Laurie, Doris and I kept trying to come up with a plan to get you here next time. Doris was even willing to fly from TX to Chicago so that you could fly together. As for staying up late....I learned how to do that on the DK cruise.

What we need is for Doris to drive up from TX to Chicago, and then drive me and JD to the boarding location, where Laurie will disguise JD as John/Dave so he can come with me. He does already have a moustache, after all.
