A little bump in the road...

Hurleys surgeon called. Hurleys platelet count is too low. They think it's the antibotics that he is on. They are going to take him off of those antibotics and put him on new ones. We are going to have to wait until May 15th for a recheck to see if his platelet count is higher.

I am going now to pick up Hurley and bring him home...I just want to get these cysts off his head.

I think I made the right decision by not going through with the surgery. It was up to me and I didn't want to take the chance of him bleeding out or having a hard time healing because of the low platelet count.

Thank you all for keeping y our thoughts with Hurley..I will keep you posted..

I am so sorry to hear about the delay with the surgery as I know you must be very anxious for this to all be over and to get on with it.  I'm sure you made a good decision to wait, even though it goes against everything you want to do.  You are doing what is best for Hurley, and that makes you an AWESOME mom!

I am so sorry the surgery was delayed, but I am sure it is for the best that you wait.  I hope Hurley is truly ready for the surgery on the 15th.
