Hurley, his parents, the veterinarian, and the board of the Doodle Messenger would like to thank the anonymous donor who made a $1,000 donation to the account for Hurley's surgery.
This is the largest single donation made to one of the Messenger's sick doodles, and a milestone in the growth of our program.

Hurley is only $100 short of the amount he needs for the surgery, and his vet says the infection is gone and the surgery can be scheduled soon!

This is great news. Doodle Messenger and all the donors are wonderful people  Here in Atlanta everyone is jumping with joy that Hurley will be getting his surgery soon and on the road to doggie play dates.  In the months that I've been on the site, I've laughed at the antics of Fudge and Vern, said a cheer for the good fortune of other members, worried about Jennifer and got tears in my eyes about Hurley and other ill doodles.  We may not all meet up for Holiday dinner but it's family nonetheless.When my son first started dating (he's now in college), I told him that looks can fade or change unexpectedly but who a person is inside remains forever. A big step for Hurley but I know he will be fine with so much love and support going his way.   He may have a little Bruce Willis thing going on for a while but I've always found that attractive in a man :)
