I have been told recently that "Normal" people do not have Birthday parties for their dogs. As I am sitting here painting paw prints on party favor bags for Murphy's birthday party next Sunday I am wondering.....Is this true? Am I not normal? I would love to hear about birthday parties for doodles and see pictures if anyone has any. Having a party for Murphy's First Birthday seems quite normal to me :) I think he is pretty excited about it too!
I absolutely love it!!!!! Now Gracie Doodle really wants to be there. She even has picked out her bag!!! She wants the one on the left that has turquoise tissue!!!!
Everything but a birthday party!!! I have always been gone on her birthday and it never works out. Though last year Ned and Clancy gave her a Birthday Bag of goodies and I made a SmileBox of her opening them on our back lawn...all alone! She enjoyed herself though! The SmileBox is still on my page now that I think of it.
You mean there are people that think its not normal to have a birthday party for a member of their family?? Who cares if the member is furry and has four legs!! Wait, I think my uncle would fit that description too but not as well trained as most of our doodles ;-) Hunter wishes she was coming to Murphy's birthday party! Happy Birthday Murphy!!
If you are a dedicated member of doodlekisses you probably are not normal - welcome to the club. My kids, who are really dog people, even think I am nuts!!!! Doggie play dates ect. We had a family party for Ned's first and second birthday - we had 7 - 8 dogs with doggie treats for the dogs and cake for the adults. Here is Ned blowing out the candle on his birthday cake!
The question has yet to be asked...Why Be Normal? I just don't see the point in that at all when being the way we all are is just so much more fun. Ask anyone of our doodles and I bet they will all agree that they just love how we all "normally" show them our love and affection, especially on their birthdays. BTW...My Murphy's birthday is on MY birthday and it's a week before Christmas, so you can probably imagine all the parties that happen around his birthday. He must think his birthday lasts a week and everyone gets presents just because it's his birthday!
