I would say if your interaction with the breeder is sketch then I would go with your gut. If you need help finding recommended breeders go to the recommended breeders group and look for one close to you or however far you are willing to travel. Another option is goldendoodles.com and look at their recommended breeders, but make sure to do further research. I took the liberty of adding the link of What To Look For In A Breeder.
