Another Lowes trip was in order today. We put Enzo in a cart, thinking they would be less likely to ask us to leave. Have to admit...at 47 lbs, she looks silly, but loves riding in the cart. We were met by " Lauren" who adores Enzo and always has a treat ready for her.

As Enzo was entertaining , the Mgr. Walked up, and I thought: " here it comes". Instead he laughed at her in the cart and he too, gave her a hug. I figured what the hell and came right out and asked about any new policies regarding dogs in the store. He sort of rolled his eyes and said in Ca. they have told their employees to go on a dog by dog basis. If a dog is barking a lot, if a dog is showing ANY kind of aggression , they are to be TOLD ( not asked) to leave. They were also told to watch " high risk " dogs. His words, not mine. I"m guessing this meant Pits, Rotties, etc. seems really asinine to me. He did say that MANY customers shop with their dogs and Lowes felt that these people would shop their competitor (Home Depot), if they could no longer bring in their dogs.
Makes no sense to me....but we were happy to hear Enz was still welcome.

Thanks Debbie. She is a champion Hugger!

we called our home depot the other day in long island New York before we left and told them "we were in the car with our dog and wanted to stop in to get something could he come in" they said no only seeing eye dogs can come in.. and asked how big he was.. I guess I cant get a 90 pounder in the cart?? lol anyways Midas came for the joy ride anyways lol. next time I think my husband has the nerve, we will just walk him in and see what happens, all they can do is ask us to leave right?

Worth a try!
