With the anticipation of snow coming our way soon (although lately it feels like spring here), does anyone have any "tricks" for keeping the icy snow from clumping on and matting our doodles' hair? I remember last year the ice just clumped from her hair. Although we were in that transitional hair stage last year. Someone told me they actually put a rain coat on their Maltese - works in rain and snow for them.

I have seen snowsuits for dogs that actually cover the belly which would definitely help. I put boots on my dog because he would get snow and ice balls between his pads and start limping and try to chew them off. I have a jacket that I have used on Yankee. Go check out dog clothes and see what would suit your dog.
There are also booties...called mucklucks I believe? They are expensive, but really stay on their feet and protect them. I am not sure about the name
Thanks you guys!!! I will definitely check them out. I wonder if she'll keep boots on - that would definitely help!!!
