Any suggestions on getting blood out of blonde / apricot doodle hair?

Nothing major - Talullah got nipped at the dog park. My vet will take a look at her and probably put her on antibiotics in the morning.

She's got blood in her hair, on what I call her "doodley dangles" (the four inches or so of feathery hair on the bottom of her ears). I've washed it with a gentle cleaner and no luck. Suggestions? I really don't want to cut off her hair!

Patty, did the other dog break Tallulah's skin? Do you know if the other dog is UTD on vaccines? How horrible, so sorry this happened!
As far as getting the blood out of her fur, I'd try hydrogen peroxide.
I hope Tallulah is okay!
Thanks for your concern. I didn't see it happen so I couldn't say for sure which dog did it (it was one of two dogs she was romping with really hard) - but Talullah is completely UTD, which will protect her. I cleaned out the wound and covered it with a little neosporin to tide her over until our vet visit tomorrow.

I just tried a little club soda, which really helped. Next I will try the peroxide. She's always wanted that bottle blonde look!
I would use a dab of doggie shampoo, and a bit of human conditioner...
Poor Talullah...did it scare her? I like Karen's peroxide suggestion...Talullah would look pretty glamorous with a few blonde highlights.
Turns out the bite was no big deal. My vet gave her a clean bill of health this morning. And the blood is all gone! Thanks to you all for your comments!
I'm so glad Tallulah's okay!
The best thing to take blood out of anything is plain old table salt and water. Rub the salt into the blood, the sooner the better of course, and then mist with water. Wait a few minutes and rinse out. I just took a bunch of blood spots out of my carpet last week using salt and water - wait and rub with clean towel. Then use spot bot if you have one with just plain water. Salt denatures the protein that binds blood to stuff so effectively. If you use hydrogen peroxide on your doodle, you are going to bleach her hair, but the blood will be gone.

Salt and water work on dried blood too. Just wet first and then work the salt in.
Great tip! Thank you!
