(Editor's note: Richard is our son, Peishan his wife, Blue a nd Ice are their Siberians Huskies.)
Well Roo has not come home. We left the vet's, Roo wasn't in car, or at home, at Richard's at Heather's or at the vet's. Roo left his fur there though. Mom said he crossed the Rainbow bridge. Why didn't he take me? I love to go new places. I don't really understand, but it is good I was here because Mom and Dad needed me to lick their tears (nice and salty, sort of like…

Roo here. I have been very tired so haven't reported much lately. The last I remember I was laying on the floor and my mom was petting my head -love that - well love any attention really. I was very very sleepy.
When I woke up I felt great, like a young pup again, but smarter. I can't find Mom or Dad or Tigger, but there are lots of other dogs and grass and trees and smells. Oh the smells..... This must be a very big dog park. No people though - weird.
Here…

Roo has congestive heart failure. He is only eight years old. His heart is breaking and so is mine. I can tell you that Roo has an excellent vet, so good in fact that the vet cardiologist is willing to turn Roo's care over to him. Something which she said she never does. I could tell you that it is not connected to his Addison's. I could tell you he had an excellent check up in July. I could tell you that this sometimes happens in labs and poodles.
But none of that…

Roo here, reporting from my new location. Mom and Tigger and I have been busy. Dad too. We moved to a new place. At first I thought we were just visiting for a long time. Dad is always teasing Mom about how much she packs for trips. Also she kept Tigger and I on a leash a lot which means visiting.
But Tigger and I have decided that this is home. There are stairs to go to bed in this house, Tigger already fell down them once! DID NOT - I was just going very very…
ContinuePresenting it was perfect! We had a picnic lunch after the first romp and I was able to present it then with many other doodle owners present.
Maryann,
I was writing out the address for your package when I realized I don't know your last name. I thought about sending it to "Maryann, Roo and Tigger" but the postal guy said it might not arrive. He also muttered something uncomplimentary about crazy old ladies under his breath but I chose not to hear it. Anyway, I'll be back at the post office tomorrow sending more gifts (it's late, I know - I'm calling them New Years presents), so I'll mail the stuff for Roo then if you see this message in time.
Maryann,
I'll send the meds on Monday. These drugs are terrific - they gave Ellie and me almost a year of additional time, even though she was 11 and had other cardiac issues besides the congestive heart failure. She had some congenital heart defects, and had had a pacemaker implanted about 6 years earlier. Nevertheless she was a most warm-hearted and caring dog, and she would be glad her meds will be used to help your Roo.
Yes, I'm very fortunate - it's our (husband ....) company and our staff love having Riley (and up until 2 months ago, Maggie too) at the office. They make the "worst" day better for everyone!
Harpo does not have Addison's apparently and we are not coming to San Diego this month because Charlie's uncle passed away in July and he went down for the funeral. I stayed at home with the dogs.
Where is Arcadia? Closer to Los Angeles or San Diego? The reason I am asking is because we may be going to a birthday party for my husband's uncle (98 years old) in San Diego in August and I would like to leave our dogs with someone who is acquainted with ALDs. We have Harpo (ALD) and Zeppo (Jackapoo).
I was reading about Roo in your blog.
I heard that you have experience with Addisons with one of your dogs. It may be that Harpo has Addisons, so I would appreciate your input.
hehe I am right in-between South Pasadena and Chinatown in the hills off the 110 fwy. There is a hiking trail that we visit often in Monrovia :)
No, I haven't been to the seal beach romps yet. I've been meaning to take Zoe soon. Would love to meet you sometime!!!
Hi Maryann! thanks for the friendship! I noticed that we are neighbors…I live in Montecito Heights which is a hop skip and a jump away from Arcadia!
Thank you!!
