Anyone notice freckles on your doodles skin?

Murphy has always had a few large freckles on his back. I've been observing them for 7 years and none have changed. However, today during a bath, I noticed a bunch of various sized new freckles all over his back.  These are new, within the last 4-6 months. His hair has been long for most of that time, so maybe I missed them, but he was recently groomed and I just bathed him again and that's when I noticed. 

Does your doodle have freckles? And if so have the number of them changed? Do dogs get "age spots" like we do?  I see the Vet in 2 weeks for his annual and Vac's so will ask then too.

Both my dogs have developed pigmented spots on their noses, they have rose noses. I will have the vet check them but Calla has had hers a long time. I haven't noticed anything on their skin though.

I've often read the recommendation to use sunscreen on their delicate noses when in the sun. I have not done that though.

I think they would just lick it off.

I'm sure you are right F. I don't know what type of sunscreen would work, and imagine what it would do to their innate sense of smell?
