When i got my puppy recently, the papers and the breeder say she is apricot coloured. After searching and searching i cant quite seem to find if her colour is considered apricot as she appears to be darker then the usual apricot. If anyone has had this experience and maybe have photos of puppy-adult of this type of apricot i would love to see them!!! She also has two different coloured eyes, one is green/hazel and the other is brown! my little princess of course has to be an odd ball:)

below is a picture that i think shows off he colour the most

As well as a pic of her eyes (at least the best i can do) shes a little camera shy

Thanks, BruceGirl.  We think she's a cutie!

She is just adorable :)

She does look very red for an apricot, but will lighten, as others have said--her ears and other areas may stay red and my red doodle's black nose turned to rose! Love the eyes!! How unique!!

thanks guys!

Top Chloe now (5) below Chloe puppy3rd pic is Myla on left as puppy below that she is 4 now I never expected them to change SO much!

What's funny is that it seems as if ALL our dogs (except maybe the pure white ones) changed from their original puppy colour... but not necessarily the same way!  Maybe if your dog gets more of the poodle hair genes (since poodles lighten with age) then the dog gets lighter.

I forgot to put a pic of Luna at a wee age in my first post.    At 8 weeks on her first day home she was MUCH lighter than she is now.  The only part of her that has stayed lighter is her belly/chest.   She's not even 2 yet though, so she could still lighten over the next few years.

Luna got alot darker.  What a cutie pie!

Chloes first puppy bath, She loved it!

She's so fluffy!  What a pretty girl.

yes they really fluffed her up good! i dont know how they do it, id like to know there secrets:) shes already defluffed since then tho especially her paws, since her favourite thing to do is play in her water dish. Just slopping aroung in there  little brat:) haha

I think it's just the combination of brushing and blowdrying plus being clean (so less oil in the coat).  I know that Luna is extra fluffy after she's been washed even though we just towel dry  her.
