Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

Ok, sorry to bother you all again but I am trying to do my homework into all the breeders. I have noticed many breeders have a logo for The Reputable Breeders Association but when I click on the link my browser can not open it. Then I googled it and nothing comes up. What happened to this association?

Thanks

This link may be a good place to start.

Check your page for two messages I sent you...

What is the name of this association?

The name on the logo posted on websites is The Association of Reputable Breeders- the ARB?

I have NEVER heard of this.  So either it's something useless and generic or something brand new.  Can you send me a private message with the link to a breeder that has this somewhere on their site so I can see it?

Or some paid for by the breeders important sounding but meaningless thing.

I've never heard of it either. Sounds bogus to me.

It sounds like three known ALD breeders are members and it was founded by one of them.  But it's gotta be fairly new and that's maybe why the link doesn't work.

Here is a link to the Australian Labradoodle Association of America, of which I am an owner-member:

Both of the links others posted above are included in the "What To Look for In a Breeder" article many people refer to: http://www.doodlekisses.com/notes/What_To_Look_for_In_a_Breeder -- the Australian Labradoodle Association of America is sort of like the breed club for ALD's.  The Premium Breeder list (goldendoodle-labradoodle.org) is a paid listing of breeders who do a certain amount of testing on their dogs.  All good places to look.  But yes, it helps if you can communicate with others who have been to the breeders you are considering.
