Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

As many of you know, in past years, Doodle Rescue Collective has typically presented our year in review, "Home 4 the Holidays", happy tales slideshow between the week of Christmas and New Years.

But this year we thought we'd try something a little different and appreciate your patience with us while we were putting this all together.

As we begin 2013, we would like to thank each and every one of you for your friendship, your dedication to these dogs and to our cause, for your unwavering support and generosity of spirit, and for continuing to be a tremendous part of our doodle rescue family.

We couldn't do what we do without all of you.

Without further adieu, please enjoy our "DRC 2012 Happy Tales" slideshow!

Yep, he has a wonderful home here in the Chicago suburbs. He got a doodle brother, also adopted from the DRC a year later, and they each have their very own human boy, lol. I'll have to go find a photo!

Lisa, he's here on DK, although his mom isn't active. His name is Finley now, check out his photos! http://www.doodlekisses.com/photo/photo/listForContributor?screenNa...

Wonderful photos and what a great life for him and his new family! Thanks Karen

Karen, I read the story of Gladwyn.  It made me want to cry in saddness and happiness.  I have filled out the information to become a member of DRC and will continue to find out how I can help.  Wow, in the last week I have become completely hooked on DK and am now hoping to become involved in DRC!!!

As I try to complete student report cards, all I have is doodle on my mind...I need a snow day so that I can...spend more time on DK of course :-)

Thanks!!

Thanks, Cathy! I started looking back at Gladwyn's story, and I had forgotten that it was a DK member who found him listed in that high-kill shelter and posted a discussion here on DK which is what got the ball rolling for Gladwyn to be saved. Suzann saw it and volunteered to go get him, Adrianne called the shelter to tag him for rescue, and the rest as they say is history. One of my favorite rescue stories ever. DK members are truly the best!

Here's the orginal DK post that saved Gladwyn: http://www.doodlekisses.com/forum/topics/michigan-doodlers-labradoo...

Oh, and check the DRC listings on DK's main page, center near the bottom! All available dogs in the DRC program.

Pass the kleenex, please. Simply beautiful. Thank you all of you awesome people.

Wonderfully done slideshow, it gave chills, tears and smiles.Bless you DRC, the world is a better place because of all of you. Bless all of the foster families that love these doodles and help them on the way to their forever homes. Curses on those who harmed these doodles in any way.

Did everyone see our own Nancy (Ned & Clancy) and her wonderful DH Skip near the end of the slideshow? Loved that!

Yep!

Jacquie - Doing good works is what it is all about and that is you in every beat of your heart.  You and DRC are awesome.

Thank you for being who you are.

Beautiful slide show and so many dogs rescued!  I so wish I could adopt another rescued doodle.
