This is so bad in so many ways--first, a dog from Craig's list (ugh) then the use of the term RUNT which is traditionally used to mean a smaller pup due to illness! Now, you wonder why he is only 4 pounds--this would be very suspicious to me--he should be more like 10-12 pounds or even bigger---
So, either he is not at all an Aussiedoodle (most likely that one) or he is very sick--if you can feel all his ribs and spine protruding, it is the latter. But he looks healthy in your picture.
In looking at your picture, i see the colors do match what you might expect but i am betting it is not a cross with a poodle--maybe a cockapoo or even a shih tzu--those big eyes tell me it was a small dog with large eyes. You could always do a DNA test!
Good luck and remember, don't buy dogs off of Craig's list!
I agree. My first thought was "no way one parent was a Standard Poodle."
I am soooo happy he found a good home (and that he is healthy!!)--putting a dog on Craig's list can be a disaster--disreputable people take them and use them as bait dogs to teach fighting dogs to kill--and other awful stuff--so this is one lucky guy!! Enjoy your pooch!
Annabelle is a mini and weighed 4lbs at 10 weeks. She is now between 14-14.5.lbs. But she is a mini. She was also the smallest in her litter. She is roughly 13" at the withers, at adult height.
Great that he's healthy and has found a loving home with you! He's absolutely adorable. A small cocker and Aussie, maybe. Enjoy him.
