I know you can use the human formula of Rescue Remedy on dogs, but wanted to ask about dosage, etc. If you have used this in the past for your dogs, could you please advise me? I was only able to find the "human" formula locally and wanted to try it tonight, as Grover is terrified of the fireworks (as well as thunder...and yes, I purchased the Thundershirt today also) Last night was his worst night ever so we were relieved to find a pet store open today.
I have the spray, so don't know whether to spray directly in his mouth or rub on his gums....I've even read of people putting it on the dogs ears?
Also, is there a big difference in the "pet" formula, as opposed to the "human"....or any benefits?
Thanks for any help:)

OK - I'm late to the discussion.
Just a couple of thoughts -
Be careful on the specific Rescue Remedy Formula - some of them have (or had) Xylitol - deadly to dogs.
Has anyone tried melatonin?

Funny that you mention melatonin. I tried an herbal mixture of valerian & melatonin and had violent nightmares. I later learned that melatonin can have that side effect in some individuals. Now I take plain valerian root and have no problems.
I've never used it on a dog but used it myself some years ago. I found and have spoken to others who also found that it can be tricky finding the correct dose. Too much and you wake up groggy, too little and you wake up in the middle of night, wide awake! Don't know if that would be the case with dogs but with people dosing seems pretty individualized.
