Bailey is feeling fine, but has horrible diarrhea

Bailey has had horrible diarrhea since Saturday night, but it is only during the night.  She needs to go out every 45 minutes to an hour.  On Sunday she was fine until about 10:00 at night then the same thing happens where she is up all night every 45 minutes or so.  Her poop started out as pudding like, then by Sunday night it turned into pure water and was very mucus filled and it almost seems to shoot out of her.  We went to the vet this morning with a stool sample and she is now on boiled chicken and rice, plus they told me to give her a pepto bismal tablet every 4 hours.  She is the same as always, playing and acting normal, it is just at night.  She is fed Fromm puppy food, which she has been on two weeks after I got her, and up until Sunday I give her non fat yogurt with her food, as well.  The vet asked me if she got anything on Thanksgiving that she shouldn't have, but I had her tethered to me when we ate and most of the day and gave everyone strict instructions not to feed her anything, so I don't think she got anything.  Can diarrhea affect a puppy only at night?  She was five months old on Friday.

Is Bailey having solid, formed stools during the day?

No she isn't and she is only going first thing in the morning and it hss been watery and mucus filled in the morning.

I think you have to wait and hear from the vet, but for now be sure to keep Bailey well hydrated.  Please let us know what the vet says....hoping the bland diet and Pepto will help.

The waiting is the hardest because I probably won't hear from them until tomorrow afternoon, plus she doesn't really want to drink much, I keep refilling her water bowl and putting ice cubes in it because that is the only way I can get her to drink.

She finished her second meal of rice and chicken a little while ago but has not had any diarrhea since this morning. She is now sitting on my lap with her frozen pumpkin filled kong. She is just a little spoiled!

How is Bailey this morning?

Bailey slept better last night, but did wake me up twice to go out and pee. I had a hard time getting her to drink anything last night. The last time she had any water was about six last night, yet she really had to go and she would squat about two times and go and this morning she couldn't get out the door fast enough. She literally ran outside and squated about three times. This really concerns me because she didn't have much to drink.
