Thanks, Linda. We already love him, and Christine at Paw Pad has been wonderful about answering our questions. We'll be posting lots of pictures when he's finally ours. :-)
Yes, we seem to make a bigger deal of the surgery than the dogs do. My dogs always seem to recover from surgery quickly, but it takes me a little longer.
Linda ~ I am so sorry you lost Ginger (I saw her right away in your photos - she was so beautiful). I think you did the right thing and am hoping everything goes well at the new grooming appointment. BYW - Bailey is so darn cute. Be sure to post photos! Keeping fingers crossed for you & Bailey!
Congrats! I pick up my chocolate girl on Friday at O'Hare. I used to live in Lisle and Glen Ellyn, so that just about in your neighborhood. Now I'm 130 miles west of Chicago in the Quad Cities.
My little girl will be flyng in from Washighton state. Her name will be Millie.
Welcome to DoodleKisses, the best website around for doodle lovers everywhere. You were saying that your dream job would be to have a doggie day care. It is definitely an up and coming thing. So many working people love the option of taking their dogs to day care a few days a week for socialization. We even have a swim center at the canine rehab facility attached to a veterinary hospital nearby. I take my dogs there to go swimming on Saturdays. After they have a lesson, they can go for "free swim" with other dogs on Saturdays.
Remember, of course, that doodles are very energetic and needs lots of exercise. It is a good excuse for you to get more exercise also.
Welcome to Doodle Kisses Linda! I am so sorry for the loss of Ginger and know how hard it is to lose a member of the family! This is a wonderful site with amazing Doodle owners who are very helpful and supportive. We have the best information anywhere on Doodles and our groups and discussions are so informative! We also like to have fun on DK and there is one warning: it can be addictive:) LOL So nice to have you on DK and looking forward to meeting your Doodle when he/she joins your family!
