Barkbox - conflicting reviews?

I am wanting to try bark box, but I've read some reviews that are not reflecting my expectations.

I have an avid chewer. Some of the reviews are saying they send stuffed toys which are chewed up in seconds. That they've contacted the company and customer service says they will make note of it, but that the boxes sent never had appropriate toys.

Cancellation only cancels the automatic renewal? So, if you aren't happy and you sign up for a year - you are stuck with it?

Anyone have experiences to share regarding bark box?

I've tried a few (3) different subscription boxes with my girls, they're fun but they don't REPLACE my treat and toy budget each month... They're really just fun.
George still carries around and loves on a stuffy she got from barkbox though and it's been about 6 months since it came. I will say that I was introduced to a few new house staples via the subscription boxes but the majority of things I wouldn't purchase on my own.
I suppose it's good so that we can switch things up if for nothing else. :)
