Barkwells - The Vacation for your Dog!

Have any of you out there heard of or been to this place called Barkwells? It is located in North Carolina and is pretty much a 7 acre fenced in area with about 6 or 7 cabins on it and a huge pond. It is especially for people who want to travel with there dogs and indulge them to the fullest! DH and I are thinking about booking a vacation there next summer! If you've been I would love to hear your experience! If not, check it out here. Or read the awesome reviews here. 33 reviews of EXCELLENT sure makes it sound like a heavenly place for dogs and humans!!!  I WANNA GO NOW!  Anyone else???

There are a couple other 'camps' for people and their dogs...but I am suddenly forgetting their names.  Sounds fun!

This is actually one where you go and all of the activities are right there.  Lots of group activities and seminars and things about dogs.  DH and I actually considered going last year, but, we aren't really campers and by the time you go a cabin it got pretty expensive for a short stay.   I decided for the price I'd rather go on a beach trip with the dogs.

I was going to go to Camp Unleashed in May with The boys trainer and her dog.  We had to change plans when her dog ended up having knee surgery.  I am for sure going to go next May, I am already saving my pennies.  Maybe we could share a cabin?

Wow, who wouldn't want to go there....maybe next year we can have a Barkwell's Doodle Vacation just like the Doodle Cruise but with the doodles!

It really does sound amazing.  I'd love it at some point in the future when Murphy is "dog friendly".....he's making some progress so I really believe it will happen.
