Amish Wolfhound!! Love it!! LOL!!

We get the "big dog" comments too.  Traz is 54 pounds.  You get used to it after a while.  Yes, he is big, but it's just more dog to love :-)

so true more to love, that's all that count!:))))

I've had people tell me Kona is the biggest dog they have ever seen. This is really funny to me since he is 90 pounds and 27.5 inches at the shoulder. Surely they have seen a Newfie, Great Dane or something bigger than Kona! But I just tell them we especially like big dogs because that way we don't have to bend over to pet him... lazy or what?

My daughter is 6' tall & was forever greeted with 'you're so tall...you should play basketball...you should model'...it was really hard on her as a teenager since she was hoping no one would notice.  Thank goodness the dogs can't understand these people who must make obvious comments.

Baker is 99# & I never thought of him as 'big' until we got 33# Oskar...now he looks bigger than before, but who cares?  I think people comment on the dogs by just thinking out loud...they are just curious.

yes, the paws are an indicator of size :)

Diane, check out some of kash pictures and let me know if you think he will be a really big boy.

Meet Charlie, was known as Noodles at the shelter. He was found as a stray in Edison, NJ. He was wearing a collar and leash but no one came looking for him so after 10 days he was surrendered to the DRC. He was neutered already, had been groomed in the recent past, housebroken and knows most commands. Just can't understand why they didn't come and find him.

He is being foster here in NJ. His foster Mom says he is a big mush of a sweetheart!  His paperwork from the shelter puts his weight at a whopping 125 lbs!!! Yes, he could stand to loose a few but he is 'big boned' like I am - WOL!!!  Someone asked if he was a Wolfhound - too much like a poodle to be a Wolfhound. He is getting his stamina built up slowly - he walks a little ways and sits down.

125! now that's a big boy I bet he is a sweet heart:)

How do people not go looking for their dog?

I don't understand it either!

Now, I would call Charlie a BIG dog.  Hooray for him to come to the DRC so a BIG DOG appreciative family can be found. My son had an oversized Doberman rescue who was 125 pounds of lean muscle.  He truly was the size of a small Great Dane.
