Does anyone know if it is safe to give my doodle a Honey Baked Ham bone?

It is NOT safe. It will splinter.
Karen is absolutely correct, end of discussion.
Hi Sylvia - never give a dog a cooked or baked or smoked bone! As mentioned, they can splinter and cause so much damage! Raw bones are definitely better but you should research what kinds. Femur bones with marrow are popular but you do have to monitor your dog, as too much marrow can cause pancreatic problems also. We used to microwave the bone to remove the marrow and give the marrow sparingly and gave Myla the bone. Unfortunately, she is an aggressive chewer and just listening to her gnawing on the bone, I was really afraid that she would damage her teeth so I no longer give her any bones. She has a lot of chew toys (not too hard) that she chews on. Just do some research on the different types of raw bones that are appropriate for dogs and puppies!
Here's a good "old" discussion on bones

Just go to the top right hand corner where it says "Search DoodleKisses.com" and type in "bones"and there are a lot of other really good discussions on the subject!
And a lot of really good info in The Food Group about bones, both raw and cooked, as well as other types of chews.
Absolutely no cooked bones here, my two are strong and bones splinter. On the other hand I find the antlers too hard and these can damage teeth badly. Best for my boys are the bull bars that soften nicely when chewed.
