Broken Resolutions :(

So it is a week into 2012 and already I've broken one of my doodle resolutions. I swore I would never put toppers on my dog's kibble. I crossed my heart and hoped to die if I ever cooked food to put in a dog bowl, well... today I found myself making an egg for my dog. ugh I'm such a sucker for big brown eyes and a cute face.

Time to fess up... what doodle resolutions have you broken?

I am queen of the toppers!  Gavin may not starve to death if I did not use them, but he would not eat as regularly as I would like and I would be busy cleaning bile barf every day.   "I top, therefore I am!"

LOL That is why I started, Charlie isn't really that interested in her food. The vet suggested mixing some wet dogfood, cheese, chicken or egg in her food. I'm just worried that once I start she'll never eat plain kibble again. Maybe we should start a group - Toppers Anonymous,  "My name is Moe and I'm a topper." :)

No broken resolutions as of yet, however I am a topper. Daisy get's Chicken Wellness grain free on her Acana....she could probably do without it, and she has, but it is just a little extra (a tblsp) on her meal to make it more appealing.

Parker expects his toppers! I only give it to him in the morning and then he gets dry in the evening...but if I try to skip the morning topper, he stares at the food after I put it down and then looks up at me as if to say "um...you aren't done with that are you???"

I like that "Obey the doodle" picture too! lol that's how it is around our house lately....King Parker is taking over!

I made the resolution to brush their teeth everyday and so far, 10 days in, I haven't broken that resolution yet.  We'll see how long I can keep it up though.  It would be easier if I could talk my husband into helping out.

Fortunately, Callie's favorite topper is a splash of water. It doesn't even last long enough to get the kibble wet! Upside of the egg...it helps make coats shiny! 

I didn't make any doodle resolutions...but once I get Callie groomed I think I might discover that he girth is not "all hair".

I'm a sucker to them looking at me so they ARE getting some of the treats from Christmas gifts here and there can't hurt right?? LOL! Don't tell DH!
